Take a tour of Nashville's Biosolids Facility at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The Biosolids Facility began operation in January of 2009.  The Central Wastewater Treatment Plant handles 85-tons of residual solids daily.  The new Biosolids Facility added DAF thickening, Anaerobic Digestion, Centrifuge Dewatering and Thermal Drying to help reduce solids handling and begin to beneficially reuse the biosolids.  The Central Wastewater Treatment Plant changed processes over the past 50 years from Incineration, to Composting, to Landfilling to beneficially reusing the biosolids as a Class A EQ Product.  The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Metro Water Services invite you to visit our facility for a tour and refreshments.
